How much does it cost to withdraw cash with my Wise card?

You can use your Wise card like any other bank card to withdraw money at ATMs around the world.

The exact fees you pay depend on where your card was issued — it’s usually the registered address on your Wise account.

How can I check what my withdrawal fees are?

Here’s how to check what your fees are, how much you can still withdraw for free, and when your free allowance limit resets on your account.

On the app

  1. Go to the Cards tab

  2. Select Your spending limits

  3. View your account limits:

  • If you’re a personal customer: In the Account limits section, you'll see your daily and monthly ATM withdrawal limits and when they'll refresh

  • If you’re a business customer: Select View account limits in the Account limits section. You'll see your daily and monthly ATM withdrawal limits and when they'll refresh

4. Select View ATM fees to see your free allowance, and when it resets

On web

  1. Go to the Cards tab

  2. Select Your spending limits

  3. View your account limits:

  • If you’re a personal customer: Under Account limits, you'll see your daily and monthly ATM withdrawal limits and when they'll refresh.

  • If you’re a business customer: Select View account limits in the Account limits section. You’ll be able to see your daily and monthly ATM withdrawal limits and when they'll refresh.

4. Select View ATM fees to see your free allowance, and when it resets

You can also view and edit your spending limits on your profile, under Limits.

You can also check on our pricing page under to Withdrawing money from an ATM. Make sure to set the correct location from the top right corner of the page to see fees for your region.

Tips to save money when withdrawing cash

  • Limit the amount you withdraw — if you withdraw over a certain amount, you’ll be charged a variable fee which changes based on how much you’re withdrawing.

  • If the ATM asks to convert the money for you, we recommend saying no because they often charge an unfair exchange rate.

  • If the ATM asks to debit in your home currency or local currency, select local. For example, if you’re travelling in the US, select USD.

If you withdraw cash in a currency you're not currently holding, we'll charge a conversion fee to convert it for you. Check our fees here.

How do withdrawal fees work?

Each calendar month you have a free withdrawal allowance — you can withdraw money up to that amount without any fees.

A variable fee changes based on how much you withdraw. For example, if your card was issued in the EEA and has a 1.75% variable fee and you withdraw 100 EUR, then the variable fee would be 1.75 EUR.

We charge the variable fee for every withdrawal on your Wise card over your monthly allowance. Depending on the country your card was issued in, we may also charge a flat fee per withdrawal.

What counts towards my free withdrawal allowance?

  • If you have multiple cards on your account, the fees apply per account.

  • Wise withdrawal fees and third-party ATM fees are counted towards the withdrawal limits.

  • Unsuccessful withdrawal attempts may count towards your limits and free allowance.

If your card was issued in Brazil

You have 1 free withdrawal each month. 20 BRL fixed fee applies to subsequent withdrawals.

Why was I charged more fees by the ATM?

Some ATMs may charge additional fees over what we charge. We have no way of predicting those charges, but they’re usually visible on the ATM before you agree to the withdrawal.

Do my fees and limits change if I move to a new country?

If you change your registered address after moving to another country and order a new card, we’ll automatically update the limits for all your cards. They’ll reflect the limits that apply to your new country of residence.
