We know it can be worrying when money doesn't go to the right place. Once a transfer is marked as Completed, it means the money has left Wise, so we can’t cancel it.
But you still might be able to get your money back. Here’s what to do.
What if I sent money to the wrong details?
If you entered the wrong account details, the recipient’s bank will often reject the payment and send the money back to us automatically.
While you wait, it's a good idea to contact the person you were trying to pay to let them know about the mistake.
Once we receive the money back, we’ll let you know right away. You can then choose to:
Update the details and send the money again
Cancel the transfer and get a full refund
Note that it can take up to 5 working days for the money to bounce back to us, but this can sometimes take longer.

What if I sent the wrong amount or don't want the transfer anymore?
If you made a mistake with the amount or simply changed your mind, your recipient will need to contact their bank and ask them to reject the payment.
This will return the money to Wise. Once we receive it, we’ll refund it to your account.
